By Car
- From the East:
- Follow the 401 W onto the 401 Express.
- Take the 404/Don Valley Parkway (DVP) exit towards downtown.
- Merge onto the DVP South.
- Take the exit toward Richmond St. downtown.
- On Richmond St., turn right onto University Ave.
- Follow University Ave. north to Armoury St.
- Turn right onto Armoury St.
- Follow Armoury St. to Chestnut St.
- Turn left onto Chestnut St.
- Chestnut Residence will be on your immediate right.
- From the West:
- Follow the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) to the Gardiner Expressway.
- Take the Bay St./York St. exit toward Yonge St.
- Keep right and follow the signs for York St. N.
- Merge onto York St. (York St. will become University Ave.)
- Follow University Ave. north to Armoury St.
- Turn right onto Armoury St.
- Follow Armoury St. to Chestnut St.
- Turn left onto Chestnut St.
- Chestnut Residence will be on your immediate right.
move-in day
Parking at Chestnut Residence
The parking information outlined below is for arrivals between September 1 – 10 only. If you require parking for your move-in outside of these dates, there is paid parking available in the underground Chestnut garage, as well as paid street and lot parking in the area.
- On your move in day each resident will be able to park one vehicle for FREE in the Chestnut underground parking garage.
- 2023-24 Parking Voucher
- Please ensure you have printed your parking voucher prior to arrival and have it clearly displayed on your dashboard.
- Upon arrival, pull up to the awning and unpack your belongings from the vehicle.
- Please ensure someone remains with your items in the lobby area while the vehicle is parked in the underground garage. Do not leave your vehicle or items unattended. (If you are moving by yourself, without helpers, you can leave your belongings in the lobby while you park your vehicle, please notify staff.)
- Please proceed to the underground garage and obtain a ticket from the machine upon entry.
- Students are welcome to use any unoccupied spot, including the Reserved Parking Spots.
- The overhead clearance height for the garage is 6-feet.
- Once you have parked, take the elevator up to the lobby and visit the Front Desk with your parking ticket to exchange it for a ticket that will allow for you to later exit without payment.
By train or bus
If travelling to Chestnut Residence via train or GO bus, your final destination will be Union Station.
