Calling all incoming Engineering residents…

…did you know about our Engineering Living Learning Community floor?

At Chestnut Residence we offer the unique opportunity to live on themed floors, including this dedicated floor for our engineering community. If you’re interested in events, socials, and workshops that enhance your engineering experience, then apply now!

This floor is open to students registered in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering and who plan to be enrolled in APS112 Engineering Strategies and Practices in the winter term.

This floor offers educational events that align with APS112 deliverables to extend your learning beyond the classroom. It’s the first-of-its-kind at the University of Toronto and represents a new collaboration between the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering and Chestnut Residence.

Students must apply and be selected to live on this floor. To apply please email chestnut.residence@utoronto.ca with the subject line ESP LLC APPLICATION: Your Name and answer the following questions:

a) Why do you want to live on this floor (50-150 words)
b) What does being an active participant in community mean to you (50-150 words).

The application deadline is 11am on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

If accepted, you will be notified via email and will have the opportunity to participate in roommate selection for your floor thereafter.

You can find out more about our themed floors and communities here.

ROOMMATE WEB PROFILE & SELECTION

Roommate selection will open in the application in June. The deadline to select a roommate is July 14, 2024.

Fill out your web profile with a bio to introduce yourself to potential roommate matches.

Then, check out the suggested roommate matches. Roommates will be suggested to you based on how closely your answers to the Personal Living Style questions match. You can also search for roommates by how they answered specific questions.

If you are in the Engineering LLC, you will only be shown matches who have also been accepted into the LLC (more details below).
