The Chestnut Residence Council (CRC) is a student governing body that plans social, athletic and community events, and represents the student voice on various committees.
Being involved in student government is a great way to get the most out of your Chestnut experience, help build a joyful student community, and gain valuable work experience for your resume.
Chestnut Residence Council is a student-run organization that operates autonomously from Chestnut Residence.
The elections for these roles happen in the fall of the academic year in which the position will be held (e.g. elections in September or October 2024 are for the 2024 – 25 academic year).
Being a floor representative is a great entry way into student politics and a relatively low time commitment. The main responsibilities are attending monthly council meetings, supporting the executive in events, and supporting your Don with floor events

Elections for these roles happen in the spring the year before the position will be held (e.g. elections in March 2024 are for the 2024-2025 academic year).
Anyone can run, even if you have no prior experience in student government, but these roles have a higher time commitment. A description of the executive roles can be found below
