As a University of Toronto summer residence, we welcome short and long-term summer accommodations for our students. Our hotel style building is located at 89 Chestnut Street, in the heart of downtown Toronto within steps of the Eaton Centre and City Hall.

PLEASE NOTE: These prices apply to post secondary students only (Non U of T Students may be required to provide proof of student status). Summer student rates include a mandatory meal plan of breakfast and dinner provided from May 8 to August 13 (The dining hall will be closed and no meal service is provided between August 13 – August 25). Double room rate is only available for students who have a pre-selected roommate. To indicate this, please email firstname.lastname@example.org

There is a one month minimum stay, but if it is less than 2 months the fees will be pro-rated by month + weekly basis:
Weekly Single: $600.83
Weekly Double: $507.27
U of T Students: Any unpaid fees on ACORN on the 15th of each month are subject to service charges.
Non U of T Students: Fees balance is due upon or prior to arrival at Chestnut Residence for check-in.
You can book the summer residence from anywhere from 1 day to 3 weeks!
Dates for 2024 student summer accommodations are TBC. Please check back for updates.
Students may apply for a full summer stay (4 months) or a monthly stay which is defined as a minimum 30-day booking. Student rates will apply.
You may book a room at Chestnut for any length of time during the summer session. Student rates will not apply. Regular Public Guest/Nightly stays and rate information is outlined on our Stay At UofT summer accommodations website.
Summer offers are typically sent in early to mid-March. If you meet our eligibility requirements and space permits, you will be contacted by email with an offer
Your first payment must be submitted through the application on Moneris. Once this payment is completed it unlocks the remaining sections of your application. You will pay the remaining balance through your ACORN account.
